Dear Families,
The District was notified of twenty-three (23) positive cases of COVID-19 this past week: ten (10) at the Indiana Area Junior High School, one (1) at Eisenhower Elementary, six (6) at Ben Franklin Elementary, two (2) at East Pike Elementary, three (3) at the Indiana area High School and one (1) at Horace Mann Elementary. 18 out of the 23 cases will be attributed to the District’s 10-day rolling average. The Department of Health (DOH) worked with the school nurses and administration and concluded that zero (0) additional students/staff members are required to be quarantined. Any questions regarding quarantines should be directed to the Department of Health at 1-877-PA-HEALTH (1-877-724-3258). Effective immediately, I will communicate with our families at the end of every week regarding the number of cases in the District.
I want to personally thank you all again for your patience, understanding, and cooperation as we work through this pandemic. As I mentioned before, it is times like this when community matters most, and I am proud to serve this community.
